FAQs

Do you teach beginners?

Yes, whether you're a beginner taking your first steps on the slopes or an advanced skier looking to refine your technique, I am dedicated to helping you achieve your skiing goals.

Do you teach children?

I teach children of all ages, and have taught children as young as 2 years old. Typically the minimum age recommended is around 4 to 6 years of age, as this is when many children have developed the necessary physical skills such as balance, coordination and muscle strength required for skiing.

How do I know if my child is ready to ski?

Additionally from the physical side of skiing as mentioned above, it is important they are comfortable being away from their parents, as well as grasp and follow simple instructions. This also tends to be around 4 to 6 years of age. However, every child is different, and it is important to consider their individual development and readiness.

Where are you from?

I was born in England, but have been working in Engelberg since 2012. I have also worked in Kaprun, Austria, as well as doing back to back winters in Mt Hutt, New Zealand.

Do you speak German?

I am proficient in German, despite never having formally studied it. Through immersion and practical experience, I have developed a strong grasp of the language and can teach in German at all levels.

If you are unsure if my language is at a good enough level, give me a call and I would be more than happy to have a chat.

Do you work in other resorts?

I can work in any resort in Switzerland, so if you would want to explore other resorts whilst continuing your development I would be more than happy to accompany you. However, extra costs of travel, lift pass etc would need to be paid.
